Bubble Art

Today the children participated in an art activity that incorporated science concepts as well! The children got to explore bubbles, straws, and food coloring to create Bubble Art!

First we poured bubble liquid into cups. Then we added food coloring and stirred to create different colors.

We had so much fun mixing two different colors together to learn how to create a NEW color! (Ask your child how to create the color purple to find out which two colors we used!)

Last came the fun part, we used straw to dip into the colors and blow onto paper to see the effect!

Our Week~ April 2-6, 2012

This week was filled with all things EASTER! We incorporated letter, number, and name recognition concepts into our learning activities using Easter eggs. We practiced matching the letters in our name with both upper and lower case lettered eggs. We practiced matching numbers with their amounts and word name (one with 1). We also practiced counting by putting the correct amount of jelly beans in the corresponding numbered egg. Look at some of the pictures below to see what fun we had while learning!
